Dr. Muñoz was a member of a community-based, artist-run organization: Workshop for Community Arts (WCA); located in Santa Ana, the WCA facilitates creative workshops and events. She specifically participated in two of their projects: “Cartonera Cartography” (August 2012) and “Fullerton Cartonographies” (November 2012). These art projects brought artists and residents together to create – by means of writing, photography, art, and cardboard – a “cartonera guidebook” of the city of Santa Ana and Fullerton.
